The current ACT format should be studied by section. English has 50 questions in 35 minutes, Mathematics has 45 questions in 50 minutes, and Reading has 36 questions in 40 minutes. Science is optional with 40 questions in 40 minutes, and Writing is one optional essay in 40 minutes.
This timing changes how you practise. English requires quick editing decisions. Math gives more time per question but covers varied skills. Reading rewards passage control and answer evidence. Optional Science is data-heavy and should be practised only if it is part of your plan.
